1. Elance - I love Elance for outsourcing, and on the flip side, it could be a great way to make money online as a freelancer. 
2. odesk – Same as Elance, although many say that oDesk is the better choice for hiring programmers.
3. Microworkers– Make money by performing mini-tasks.  I wrote a review on Microworkers early last year.
4. Mechanical Turk - Owned by Amazon, this site is similar to Microworkers, but maybe a bit more sophisticated.
5. Fiverr – Make money online by offering virtually any service or mini-task…the catch is, you have to charge $5!
6. Istockphoto.com -The ideal venue for graphic designers and photographers. This site is not for the average Photoshop enthusiast. Members are expected to have some degree of talent and be able to offer professional, high-quality work. The best part of the deal is that iStock Photos can be considered a passive income method rather than an active one. The work produced by artists is offered for download from the site to anyone interested in purchasing it.
7. Pixoto - A site similar to iStockphoto, where you can earn money by selling your photography. Just like iStock, Pixoto expects high-quality and professionalism from their users. The site is not for everyone, but if one has what it takes to stand up to Pixoto’s clients’ expectations, then this income can easily be used as a replacement for a regular, monthly, off-line pay-check.
8. Guru - Founded in 1998 as eMoonlighter.com, Guru.com is another marketplace that connects over one million freelancers with employers across the world. Three million tasks were completed on the site and over seven million messages and files shared. Guru.com, like Elance and oDesk, allows freelancers, who want to earn their pay-checks on line, to apply for jobs and submit proposals to clients. These in turn can hire the professionals who best suit their needs.-
9. 99designs - This site is fun and challenging! It is similar to oDesk and Elance, but is limited to graphic-design jobs only. This means it is for artists or people who are good with Adobe Illustrator, and want to challenge themselves. Buyers host a competition and designers compete against each other with their work. The best design gets picked by the buyer and the winner is paid $99 or more! The downside is that those who don’t win don’t get paid.
10. Craigslist - An ideal place for everyone to earn some serious money on line. From teenagers to professionals, anyone can use the biggest classified ads board to sell products, jobs and services. Check out the many sections that Craigslist have on their site, and you will easily find local clients who will hire you. Craigslist is highly recommended and trusted by millions of users. Remember that since this site, like eBay, is one whose primary purpose is to connect users together, you need to be cautious as to whom you deal with.
